capsid_find_docs
Find documents, on Capsid. Needs the read grant.
What it does
Find documents in the knowledge base: list them by namespace, type and status, match paths by glob, search full text, or list the namespaces this caller may reach. Read-only.
What a client is told
The MCP hints it carries, so a client can ask before it acts (src/tool-annotations.ts).
- Reads only: no action changes anything.
- Never overwrites or removes.
- Repeating a call changes nothing further.
- Stays inside Capsid.
Its 4 actions
Chosen by the action argument, with a default when it is left out.
listList documents by filter.List documents with optional namespace, type, and status filters. Returns metadata rows without bodies under
documents: id, namespace, path, title, type, status, tags and timestamps. Bounded to 500 rows; when there are more it sets truncated:true with a note.globMatch document paths against a glob.Find documents whose path matches a glob pattern (SQLite GLOB, e.g. 'notes/*.md'). Optional namespace filter. Returns matches under
documents, bounded to 500 rows; when there are more it sets truncated:true with a note.searchFull text search.Full text search across all documents (FTS5, ranked by bm25). Optional namespace and type filters. This is the cross-project search. Returns the top 25 matches under
documents; when more matched it sets truncated:true. mode defaults to "hybrid", which matches by meaning as well as by keyword, for a question phrased in other words than the document uses; mode "keyword" is the plain FTS5 search; each row says how it matched (match: keyword, meaning or both), closed and superseded documents are left out unless include_retired is true, and current canon ranks first. When the meaning index cannot answer, it falls back to the keyword search and says why underfallback.Takes
query,namespace,type,mode,include_retired.namespacesThe namespaces and their repos.List the namespaces this caller is scoped to and the repos each maps to. A scoped agent sees only its own namespaces.
Takes nothing else.
