capsid_start_session
Start a session, on Capsid. Needs the read grant.
What it does
One-call session start for a namespace. Returns capsid/conventions.md, the namespace core.md, portfolio_documents (the capsid paths every driver reads first and may read: conventions, decisions and its volumes, rulings, core), its open task docs (non-archived and not status closed), the 3 most recent episodics, and the typed edges on core.md, each with updated_at so staleness shows. Read-only. Size-bounded near 40KB; if trimmed, the trimmed field lists what was dropped to metadata. When conventions and core.md alone exceed the budget nothing is trimmed and floor_exceeds_budget carries their sizes.
What a client is told
The MCP hints it carries, so a client can ask before it acts (src/tool-annotations.ts).
- Reads only: no action changes anything.
- Never overwrites or removes.
- Repeating a call changes nothing further.
- Stays inside Capsid.
